Estimated finished ABV is 8.8%

At 32.7L gravity was 1.050
After 1.5 days, 1.030
Sugar added at day 4 of fermentation. Gravity was 1.020, raised to 1.038
At day 5, temperature was ramped naturally up to 26c

Actual ABV after final fermentation is 9.0%.

Try mashing at 66c next time to dry out a bit more.

Tasting Notes

Pours with a light fluffy head which dies pretty quickly, but still retains light head coverage.

18/03/08 - Definitely a noticable smoothing starting take place. Alcoholic bite is easing off. Quite drinkable now. Leave for another 3 months.
